Women’s Humanitarian Organization will ensure that:
All services provided meet the standards for service provision outlined in the Geneva Convention, particularly in relation to the rights of women, children and the Elderly of our community, given they are the key recipients of our programs.
The services provided by WHO will be in response to the needs of the Palestinian community with whom we work.
WHO is an Organization established by a group of concerned Palestinian women. It will continue to be run by a committee of Palestinian women who are representatives of the communities living in the Palestinian camps with which we work.
WHO services will ensure continued local community representation in the planning and service provision by the inclusion of community based committees in each of the specific programs (ie parent committee in the Kindergarten and after school program and student committee in the after school program)
The WHO programs will work toward the empowerment of the local community by:
Women- awareness raising and job creation within our services and also the provision of child care for working mothers
Children and young people- promote literacy and strengthen the personalities and confidence of children
Elderly- reduce health problems and complications through the provision of health and rehabilitation programs
WHO services will ensure the development of a strong team that works together to strengthen their abilities and learn from each other.
All services provided by WHO meet the Business and Legal legislative requirements for both the local Palestinian and Lebanese authorities
